I know of Bohemians. Who found joy in artistic endeavor and communal living over materialism and social etiquette.
The Hemp Cloth of the Beautiful Bohemian, (right) became my place of escape. To relive their journeys. To sing, dance, and engage in all sorts of creative practices with them in the wandering of my mind.
My palette knife and bottles of dripping paints worked in unison. They seemed happy co-creating this piece with me. Layer by layer and realize value in our commonwealth.
The hemp cloth is representative of their modest industry in making affordable apparel. Delicate, just like the strokes of the palette knife on paint layers as I waited for one layer of paint to dry before laying another.
I read more about them. How they lived and shared necessities as well as nurtured partnerships that helped achieve justice and respect for one another in peace.
Wisdom in unlikely places and that from nomads who many would look past. The work of art hung on my wall, a tribute to Bohemians.
